What Haven is — and is not

Haven is an educational and supportive service. It is not a consultation, not a diagnosis and not treatment. Nothing here is medical advice for your particular situation.

Using Haven does not create a doctor–patient relationship between you and Haven, its operator or anyone involved in making it. We do not know your history, your medications or your test results, and we cannot examine you.

Talk to a doctor first

Consult a qualified professional before you change anything about your treatment — and never start, stop or adjust a prescription based on what you read or hear here. This matters especially if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if the person concerned is a child or a teenager, if you live with a chronic illness, or if you take prescription medication.

The AI Companion can be wrong

The Companion is an artificial-intelligence system. It produces estimates, not facts, and it can be wrong — including when it sounds confident. It does not diagnose and it cannot tell panic apart from a medical emergency. Do not make medical decisions based on its answers.

When to stop reading and get help now

Panic can feel like a medical emergency, and sometimes it is one. Seek emergency care immediately if any of these is present:

In a life-threatening situation call 911 (US) or your local emergency number. In the US you can also call or text 988, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Better to hear “it was just panic” than to miss something serious.

Who writes this

Haven’s materials are prepared by the Haven team from open clinical sources. They are general information, not the opinion of a specialist who has assessed you.

Your decisions are yours
